Intro to Sponsorship
Rather than an endless stream of aid, many believe education is the key to lifting Africa out of poverty. On our visits to Uganda, we have been struck by the value Ugandans place in their schooling. It is a Ugandan's greatest hope to be able to attend not only primary school but many years of secondary school and higher education programs. We admire these scholastic goals and hope to help empower Ugandans so they can create their own lasting changes and solutions.
Through the support of generous donors, we have put a program in place that provides for the sponsorship of 22 students at quality boarding schools. This opportunity provides the students with the ability to gain a valuable long lasting education. All of our current scholars are fully sponsored. To further our mission we are now working to provide greater education opportunities for all of the children of the village by improving conditions at the village schools. We are currently working to purchase text books, supplies and improve the physical structures of these schools. To help us in this endeavor, please consider making a donation to our general fund.
How you can help:
Visit our School Support page or consider making a monthly recurring donation through PayPal or an annual or one time donation to our Engeye Scholars General Fund. We are working in a variety of ways to expand our program to provide assistance to not only our sponsored scholars but all of the children of the village. There are always urgent needs to be met, and a donation to the General Fund makes it possible for us to provide assistance to other children, who have special medical or educational needs. We are also working on ways to improve the local public schools and ways to educate the villagers so that they can use their skills and talents to earn income and become self supporting. If you would like to donate to the General Fund, please send your donation with a notation that it is for the General Fund and mail it to the address below or make your donation by clicking "Donate."

Please consider a sponsorship or financial contribution to our program. You are the key that will enable us to meet our program's needs. Currently the need far outweighs the available funds. The fund-raising and administrative time of the co-directors of Engeye Scholars is donated to the organization. You can be assured that your contribution can be used almost entirely for direct program expenses. We are a 501(c)(3) organization, and your contributions are tax deductible in the U.S. to the fullest extent of the law.
