Building a Library

The development of an Engeye Scholars Library has begun.





The books above are part of the new "Engeye Scholars Library". They were donated by Barbara L. Walton, from Union Presbyterian Church, Schenectady, New York

It is amazing to see the children of the village enjoy the books from the Library collection.


How you can help our Library:
You can help support our library by sending picture books and beginner reading books. If you would like to collect and mail books, the best approach is to send the books by USPS mail in large flat rate box. The average price of a 20lb large flat rate box to Uganda is about $55.00- $65.00. If you ship a box of books, please include some information about yourself or your group, an email address and a picture. You can then simply mail the collected items by USPS mail to:

You can also help through a financial contribution to help us purchase books and materials for our library. The availability of books provides a lasting and sustaining gift in the lives of the children and adults of Ddegeya village.
