School Support Program

Please Help Educate Children in Uganda:
Education is the key to the future for students of all ages. Bright children in and around Ddegeya with great promise lack the basic school supplies and textbooks to help them learn and succeed. You can make a dramatic difference in a rural Ugandan village, and help us extend educational opportunities to needy children. Here are some of the many ways that you can help:

Classroom Sponsorship
Through our classroom sponsorship program, students can provide school materials, teaching supplies, books, desks, posters, classroom repairs, games and uniforms to our sponsored primary schools. Ask your students to commit to raising $500 for one of our Sponsored classrooms. This can be a school-wide challenge, or a project for one class or group. For a class of 25 students, that only requires a $20 fundraising goal for each student, If the sponsorship is school wide that may only be $2 per student. Once the fundraising goal of $500 is met, we will match you with a classroom and purchase the necessary classroom materials to transform that class in your honor. We will also post a recognition poster with the name of your class or school in the classroom. Students can also choose to fill one Large Flat Rate postal mailing box with notes, cards, photos and supplies that they would like to send from the U.S. If you have students who wish to establish a pen pal relationship with the class we will work with you to help make that a reality.

Classroom Supplies
Through our classroom supply program, your students can raise funds in any amount which will then be used to purchase school materials and supplies in Uganda. Students can also choose to fill one Large Flat Rate postal mailing box with notes, cards, photos and supplies that they would like to send from the U.S. The first $50 raised by the students will be used to mail the box and the rest of the funds will be used to purchase supplies and materials in Uganda. We will provide pictures of the children and schools receiving the supplies purchased through the funds you raise and pictures of the students receiving any sent supplies.


Bring Solar Power to a rural School
Create a lasting legacy by raising money to bring solar power to the classrooms and school community. If your school or group can commit to raising $1,000.00, you can bring solar power to the school so the students can extend their school day and get extra help and study time to increase their educational opportunities. If you raise the funds for the solar power we will not only send photos and pictures but we will also post a recognition plaque with the name of your class or school on the walls of the Ugandan school.

Help with student dormitories
One of the rural Ugandan primary schools we assist has a Girls Dormitory that lacks beds and requires some basic repairs so it is safe and appropriate for use. A $1,000.00 donation will provide for improvements and beds so that the school can collect tuition for boarding students. This additional stream of income will provide for expanded educational opportunities and educational materials for all students. The school would also like to construct a Boy’s Dormitory. If you choose to raise $3,500.00 for the construction of the Boy’s Dormitory, you can name the dorm and a recognition plaque will be placed upon the wall of the dormitory.

Sponsor Education and Health Initiatives through Monthly Giving
Parents, family, friends and teachers can create a lasting legacy by contributing monthly to support our Education and Health initiatives. A contribution of $25.00 per month funds student scholarships, health services and ongoing programs for deserving students in the village. The monthly contribution can be deducted automatically each month through your PayPal account.

Engeye, Inc is a 501(c)(3) organization, so contributions are tax deductible in the U.S. to the fullest extent of the law. Your tax-deductible contribution will help equip a classroom with sufficient books, pencils, pens, chalk, paper and teacher supplies to meet the most basic educational needs.
